Beardsley Residence

The proposed landscape improvements strategy supports the idea of seamlessly connecting visually as well as materially to the Sonoran Desert. The selected plant palette matrix will complement and reinforce the community’s guidelines of staying true to the Sonoran sense of place and the notion of promoting the use of native plants; key to maintaining and sustaining the biotic makeup and resiliency found within the natural systems of the desert.  The selected species will also highlight key indicators of how to best live in symbiosis with the resources and attributes of the region. As ideas become implemented and as the selected flora matures, the garden will become a refuge and source of inspiration and will continue providing basic ecological and environmental services to the community and most important bring the ultimate users closer to appreciating the aesthetic beauty and bio-diversity found in the desert.
