The design team’s approach for ‘Daybreak’ began with a process of understanding the multi-dimensional aspects of creating critical experiences that engage the senses and mapping these into energy fields that unfold in a series of moments arrested in space designed to evolve over time. The landscape design composition traces back major cultural, environmental and economic events which evoke a renewed awareness to the memory of place. These episodes trigger forward thinking ideas which represent a crucial departure from conventional place making approaches. Furthermore, to amplify the design dialogue, the landscape gestures incite the importance of relating to the architectural attitude within the urban framework. As a result spaces become receptacles of opportunities for the community to co-mingle and reconnect to the natural systems in ludic ways.
